A lot has changed in our Club and with our membership. Today we communicate and share our activities more on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. In order to meet this change and the need for sustainability, New-Pen-Del is looking to move our announcements and activities to an online membership portal. It will showcase our events and our members as well as enable us to market NPD products using an online payments system. This adds efficiency and will ultimately reduce costs allowing us to get information out to our membership quickly, effectively and securely. The portal will automate and simplify membership tasks for our members, volunteers, and Board.

In a few weeks, our Active members will receive an invitation to login into our secure members-only portal. Here we ask that you update your contact information, add family members, and identify what activities you would like to participate in. You will be able to automatically renew your membership at the appropriate time in September without missing the deadline. No more snail mail in submitting payments and forms. You can reach out to us through the platform if you have would like to know more about our Club and our events.
Our portal is the expression of our membership. New-Pen-Del has a long history and special people who have contributed to the growth of the Newfoundland breed and change. These are our Honorary members whose support and guidance we have depended on over the years. Peggy and Dave Helming, Diane and Tom Broderick and Betty McDonnell have helped us to evolve to where we are today. Our honorary members are important to our history and our future.
To acknowledge the role our honorary members played in growing awareness of our Club and the Newfoundland breed, it is fitting that we begin our online membership journey by shining a spotlight on them. Over the next few weeks, we will feature each on the portal’s home page. We begin with Peggy and Dave Helming whose Josh was what drove so many of us to the Newfoundland breed including myself.
Our hope for this platform is to grow the New-Pen-Del community and generate more communication from our members. If you would like to contribute here or to any of committees, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing more from all of you!
